 Welcome!

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a leadership development training program designed to teach scouts how to become better leaders. NYLT is a change from the program known as Junior Leader Training Conference (JLTC). If you completed the JLTC course, you do not need to do NYLT, as it is the same level of training. Scouts trained at NYLT will learn leadership skills that can be used within their home unit, and also in everyday life to improve their leadership potential.

The Caddo Area Council’s NYLT program is conducted over two 3-day weekends at Camp Preston Hunt. The dates for 2007 NYLT course are as follows:

·         weekend one February 2-4

·         weekend two February 16-18

If you are interested in participating in the NYLT program, please contact your unit leader.

Staffing for NYLT is provided in part by the members of the Akela Wahinapay Lodge 232 Service Corps.
