Online Youth Protection Training

The Caddo Area Council and the Boy Scouts of America are pleased to offer Youth Protection Training in the comfort of your own home!  This online training is a convenient alternative to the existing video based Youth Protection Training offered in the districts.

After completing the online Youth Protection Training module, your name will be compared to a list of registered adults on file with the Boy Scouts of America.  If you are a registered adult member of the BSA, the following items will be made available to you:

  1. A certificate of completion (a "trained" card will be e-mailed to you if there is a successful match).
  2. A letter from the Scout Executive.
  3. An explanation of the council's youth protection reporting procedures.
  4. A course information handout.

If you are not a registered adult, you will receive all of the above except the certificate of completion.

To start the online Youth Protection Training, choose one of the following options:

Audio On     or     Audio Off

If you don't have a broadband connection to the internet (cable,  DSL or other high speed connect)  it is recommended that you choose "Audio Off"

Please note:  If you are an adult leader from outside Caddo Area Council, you may use the youth protection training module from this site.  However, it is a decision of your own local council, and not Caddo Area Council, whether you may be credited for completion of the youth protection training module.  Different locations will have different reporting requirements. Please contact your local council professional staff if you have any questions about receiving credit for completing the youth protection training course.
